Ben and Anna’s plastic-free deodorant works gently against moisture & odor and promotes freshness throughout the day. It is smooth, easy to apply, and never greasy or sticky! I’ve tried two different ones from them – the Mint and the Coco Mania & both work great.

Baking soda | Vegan?: No | Yes

Ok, hear me out. This plastic-free deodorant is made from potassium alum-a natural mineral salt that tackles odor-causing bacteria without clogging pores. It’s incredibly long-lasting and great for anyone who wants a fragrance-free, plastic-free deodorant alternative.
You simply wet the stone and apply it to clean, dry skin. I first tried it while traveling (after running out of my DIY deodorant). Even though I love my DIY natural deodorant, I must admit, I switched fully to the stone. It is truly impressive how well it works.
Just be careful to not drop it when you use it; speaking from experience 😀 it happened to me, and it broke into pieces.
3. WILD deodorant

Baking soda | Vegan?: Yes | Yes

Wild is a sustainable, aluminum-free deodorant that is 100% plastic-free. It comes in a reusable aluminum case, and once you finish it all up, you can order plastic-free compostable refills.
While it’s designed to work for most skin types, it didn’t work for me. My best friend got it, so I tried it and soon after applying it, I stank! Good to note is that she’s usually super duper sensitive with baking soda, and while WILD deodorant contains some amounts of it, my friend told me her skin wasn’t irritated at all.

T’eo is full of sweat-absorbing powders and odor-neutralizing essential oils. The deodorant combats bacteria and microbes to keep you smelling fresh. Aromaco has the most active ingredients that eliminate microbes and odor-causing bacteria, while it also tightens pores and soothes the skin. I tried both of these and while I enjoyed the scent of T’eo more, Aromaco worked better for my skin.

For people living in the north of Europe, I highly recommend Kaurilan Sauna products: https://kaurilansauna.fi/en/collections/deodorants
I prefer the non-vegan option as the beeswax keeps it from melting (tried the vegan one too but it melted too easily). Love the orange blossom and the scentless one. Haven’t tried the deo bar yet as it’s new, but it sounds wonderful!
These look great! Thank you for sharing 🙂 I can see that they also have international delivery!
Thanks! I have two more, from/in the US: Hey Humans (cardboard tube, several great unisex scents) and Booda Butter (glass, 1 kind only). I like both a lot.
Can I buy Fat And The Moon one in EU?
I think no 🙁 Or at least I didn’t find it in Europe. Since I’m also based in EU, I use Ben & Anna, which is I think made in Germany and I’m quite satisfied with it.
Thank you so much for investing the time to scan what’s out on the market against excellent criteria, synthesize everything into a single document, and publish it. And, you created a video with DIY deodorants. Amazing!
I hope that people will continue to support your efforts in this important work you’re doing to find solid products that are almost-zero-waste and meet other important criteria for a future to be possible for all of us.
